Adult ETT / equipment sizing

Common adult starting range: 7.0–7.5 mm ID for smaller adults, 7.5–8.0 mm ID for larger adults. Stage one size smaller/larger, bougie, SGA, suction, and cric pathway. Oral depth commonly starts around 20–24 cm depending on sex/habitus; verify with waveform EtCO₂, exam, and imaging/ultrasound when appropriate.
